IDU is pleased to invite you to its annual conference, Perspectives du marché immobilier de Montréal, to be held at the Centre Mont-Royal on February 26, from 12 noon to 2 p.m.!
January 20, 2025 marks Donald Trump's return to the White House for a second term. In the background, the threat of 25% tariffs on Canadian products. One month after the swearing-in of the President of the United States, our biggest trading partner, what are the immediate impacts of his first decisions on our economy? And what are the prospects for the future?
For the 2025 edition of the Perspectives du marché immobilier de Montréal, the IDU is offering an overview of the changes brought about by the first days of Donald Trump's second term, on the political, economic and employment fronts, and of course on the commercial real estate market.
For this, we'll be able to count on seasoned experts to share their first impressions and thoughts. We will be privileged to have John Parisella, former Quebec delegate to New York and analyst of American politics, on hand to put this return in context (diplomatic and political) for Canada and Quebec. Afterwards, Matthieu Arseneau, Deputy Chief Economist at the National Bank of Canada, will present an analysis of the economic implications of the new U.S. administration's first decisions and the outlook for the future.
Lunch will be served on site.
Registration closes February 24 at 5 p.m. (subject to ticket availability).
